Tn.Hj. Nizam acquired his BSc. Degree in geology from Universiti Malaya (UM) in 1990. He is the current Vice President of Persatuan Geologi Malaysia (G.S.M) and holds a position of Treasurer in Institut Geologi Malaysia (I.G.M). He is currently an esteemed member of Ahli Majlis Industri (A.G.E) Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and is a council Member of International Association of Engineering Geology (I.A.E.G) based in United States (US) and EUROPEAN GEOSCIENTIST UNION (E.G.U) based in Vienna, Austria.
